Westbrook (again)

The trade rumors have started flying.

Westbrook was just awful in 40 minutes against the Warriors, combining to miss or turnover the ball for approximately a quarter of Houston's possessions.  But that wasn't the worst thing.  With Harden getting a hard double, it was left to Westbrook to run the 4 on 3 and he managed just 5 assists.  When he didn't miss or turn the ball over, he wasn't putting his teammates in position to score with his passing.  It doesn't directly show up in the box, but bad passes mean the team mate can't immediately shoot, which gives the defense time to adjust to the weakness created by the double.

I'll take Malcom Brogdon and a salary dump.  But that will never happen.

Why not let Austin Rivers have more minutes and take the ball when Harden is double teamed?

It'll be interesting to see if Houston does this with Eric Gordon when he returns to form.

Harden and Houston have generally survived the double team well with crisp passing and high percentage three point shots.  But with Westbrook hogging the ball and the minutes Houston has struggled.
