It looks like a bunch of stupid kids took down the entire internet yesterday. What if next time it is a bunch of bad people with lots of money? Russia? Saudi Arabia?
What are we going to do ... send over a battleship? Responding to hacking with military force is just a stupid as responding to terrorism with military force.
Maybe we'll ramp up spying on our own citizen indiscriminately and without purpose. That would also costs lots of money and do no good.
We live in a new age. A bunch of private companies trying to penetrate your identity and sells ad time are not going to secure the internet.
We need to get a lot of clueless old men out of government and start working on these problems.
