Facebook makes about $7 per month off each each user and almost all of it is advertising.
That's cheaper than Netflix.
I don't use Facebook or any social media unless you count my resume and connections on LinkedIn (where I don't even post.) And I don't have time for all of Apple's "help" on my phone. Apple doesn't make it easy, but I've set my phone to only ring or buzz for phone calls and texts. All other notifications are turned off, yes, even my calendar. Its a big deal. When my phone buzzes, something real is happening. If I need the info inside an app, I open it.
